Singapore Armed Forces have made it three wins out of three with a 3-1 victory over arch-rivals Home United.
Ahmad Latiff Khamarudin set SAF on their way in the first half with a headed goal after 39 minutes, but they were pegged back at the start of the second half when Shi Jiayi levelled from the penalty spot five minutes in.
Daniel Bennett restored SAF's lead 11 minutes later, but the game seemed to swing back the way of Home when Ahmad Latiff Khamarudin was sent off for the leaders 15 minutes from time.
SAF hung on though, and even extended their lead as John Wilkinson made the points safe in the 90th minute.
The result leaves the defending champions looking strong at the top of the league with nine points, while Home United's first defeat of the season leaves them in third place on four points.
In the evening's other game DPMM FC moved up to fourth with a 2-1 comeback win over Super Reds.
Jeon Byung Euk put Super Reds in front from the penalty spot after just 11 minutes.
But second-half goals from Yusof Salleh (61) and Abu Bakar Mahari (84) were enough to earn the hosts their first win of the season.
